Supported living refers to housing where support and/or care services are provided to help people live independently.

We at GG healthsolutions Ltd, provide flexible and person centred supported living services in the East Midlands for people with learning disabilities, autism and other complex needs. These services are managed from our offices in Leicester.

We offer support packages ranging from a few hours a day to assist with shopping and other independent living skills such as:

  • cooking
  • personal care
  • live in care
  • low level decluttering
  • accessing community services
  • 24-7 specialist services.

We work closely with accommodation providers to support our service users with their own tenancy to live independently. We offer services to people in shared accommodation and individual properties across the county with accommodation sourced from leading housing associations and private providers.

Our service is centred around individual needs, structured according to one's ability and capability.

Domiciliary Care

Domiciliary care involves care staff assisting individuals with their daily activities in whilst in the familiar surroundings of their own home.

The care and support includes:

  • Household tasks such as vacuuming and mopping floor surfaces.
  • Loading and emptying washing machine.
  • Hanging out laundry, bringing it inside, ironing and parking clothes.
  • Washing dishes, wiping and cleaning surfaces.
  • Cleaning bathrooms, kitchen and toilet.
  • Bed making, changing bedding and washing bed sheets.

End-of-life Care

In what is also known as palliative care, we help our clients with their complex needs.We promote choice for service users and provide day and night care for end-of-life clients whilst preserving their rights and dignity.

The services we offer include:

  • Providing symptom management and comfort measures
  • Facilitate open and honest communication
  • Support decision-making and advance care planning
  • Offer spiritual and emotional support
  • Support cultural and religious beliefs
  • Support with pratical tasks and emotional distress

Sitting calls

We help our palliative care clients' families when they need a hand. This includes:

  • Providing a break from palliative care during the night hours.
  • Allowing family and caregivers to take a well-deserved break to catch up on some much-needed sleep and have some quality time.
  • We provide a short respite service for their loved ones.
  • Needing reassurance that the service user is provided for with good quality care and individual support and company in their short absence.
